Currently working on a couple more business websites for a couple small local start-ups. Kind of excited on how things are going with both sites. Tried a few different things. Also created a whole new logo for one of them too, and it turned out great! Had a couple nights of being absolutely stumped on thinking of a nice logo design but, it suddenly hit me one night. May not be the greatest logo of all time, but it\'s the best I\'ve ever come up with.
Got over a few weeks of serious back pain. Could barely walk in the morning and absolutely hurt to jog let alone run, or swing a bat (still tried playing softball though). Finally saw doc and got some meds to take care of that and I can actually walk more than a few 100 feet without my lower back hurting.
Well, I\'m off to try to finish some ideas I have for website some different website designs.
2010.April.25
As you can see, I've changed the site design. Just didn't like that last design at all. I was even disappointed with it right after I put it up here, but couldn't think of anything to replace it with before today.
The archives and projects pages aren't available right now. I'm still working on a design for each of them.
While I'm at it (shameless self promotion), the left side of the logo is a random image from drawings I've done and then colored in Photoshop and Painter Essentials.
2009.November.18
OK. Well, I've updated the site, added a couple designs to the Web Design page and added a new write-up on the Projects page.
Reminds me, I'm still working on fixing the Projects page a little bit, right now it might seem a little clunky at the moment.
Haven't played much PS3, Xbox360 or PC lately, really need to find time to do that again, took my mind off of things for a little while each day. Plus its always fun :)
2009.October.15
Ok, well, I updated my Web Design page with another sample and a link to another local business website I just
completed. Really liked how it's turned out, but there are a few more things to complete and add to their
page.
The arcade cabinet project is on hold for the time being, unfortunately. Hopefully I'll be able to get back to it
early this next year.
2009.August.07
OK. So I'm working on a MAME cabinet. Still not 100% sure how I want the cabinet to look. I've had several ideas just nothing thats kept me excited too long. Think this next week I will spend some serious time deciding on an idea for that. I'll post some photos of any sketches I come up with.

Well, I was quite surprised to get my HP notebook back in less than seven days. Seven days! I thought for sure
this was going to get dragged out longer than the ten days they had said on the phone. It works and they got it back to me sooner
than they promised, so I have to say I'm a happy camper with HP right now.
I've added a few things to the
projects page. Nothing super exciting, but its something. I'm going to make
a serious effort to update the site more often this year, I mean it.
2009.March.14
Well, my HP notebook quit working yesterday. After spending a little time going over some checks with my brother I called HP and after going thru a little more troubleshooting with them, it turns out that they think the motherboard has quit. Now I know this shouldn't really surprise me after the wonderful quality my Xbox 360 was built to, but wouldn't you think that a notebook computer would be built to be a little tougher than this? I've only had this notebook for 9 or 10 months and I didn't toss this thing about like a toy, I actually took care of it. HP told me that it would be only 10 business days to get it back once they receive it so I suppose that isn't all that bad, just frustrating is all.
2009.March.11
If you visit the projects page you might notice that many, if not all of the links lead to missing
pages. Thats because I'm in the middle of updating those. It might take a while before I get all of them fixed up again, but I am working
on it.
I've also updated a couple other pages. The links and web designs pages
have had some new additions to them.
2009.February.21
I've added a new web design page. You'll see the link button in the sites menu bar along the top of the page. It's still a work in progress page, but I think for the time being it will do just fine. I'll be able to show anyone that might want me to do a website for them to this page instead of either e-mailing them copies or sending a bunch of different links. One thing with the samples on that page though is that they are only .jpg images. I thought about putting the actual html pages but a few years ago I had a friend steal a few ideas from a sample I made for her. It wouldn't have upset me so much except that they made money off 'their' design and didn't even give me credit. What was funny was that the site they made had some special 'code' in the html that I put in just for the hell of it. The special 'code' had no use in the page but she kept it in their. Oh well. Hopefully now I'll be able to make a few bucks myself doing something I really enjoy doing.
2009.February.19
I'm messing around on the site and trying to come
up with a page for me web site samples. It's a little difficult for me to decide on something I like and something that I find
usable. I've got 6 or 7 samples to show off right now so I'd like to get something up here sooner than later but I'm going to
make sure I'm happy with the way it displays.
Also, I'm not so sure I like this design I came up with for the site
the other night, something about it just doesn't look good to me. Might just be the colors but I think its more than that. I'll
keep messing around at home with it and finally stumble onto something I like, I hope. It's funny to see my opinions change on
my site design. When I first came up with this design I was really thrilled with it, but a couple days later it was like 'what
was I thinking'. Maybe I'll get use to it and won't need to worry about a re-design of the re-design.
2009.February.14
Well, I've managed to not update the site in forever. I did go ahead and redesigned the site though.
Just recently completed my second 'business' site. Both sites I've done are local businesses. One is
here and the other one is here.
I'm working on some more sample designs and once I get a couple more finished I'm going to add a page here for them. I'm sort of looking at trying to do more web design jobs.
2008.May.24
I've started to add entries into a new diary I'm keeping of my MAME cabinet build. I will try hard to continue to add to it until
I'm caught up to the most recent entry by the end of the Memorial Day weekend. Then I'll be able to update when I finish another step in the project.
Besides trying to build this MAME cabinet, I'm building a website for a friend of mine who recently opened her own hair salon. That's coming along nicely, right now I'm waiting
to get some more information from her so I can finish it. That's pretty exciting to me....my first 'business' website!
Until next time, have fun.
2008.January.18
I hope everyone had a great Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year. I can't really believe that I haven't updated the news here
since July. Shame on me.
So yeseterday, as I was walking up to my door at home, I noticed a small brown box on my door mat. I wasn't realy sure what it was or where it came from; I couldn't
remember ordering anything recently, but it did have my name on it so into the house it went.
After turning on the television and opening some mail, which turned out to be a little depressing (most of it turned out to be bills), I grabbed the box and started
to open it. I thought for sure that it was only going to be a stupid promotional gift thing, but my jaw hit the floor when I saw what it really was. I was shocked
to see a Mass Effect Collector's Edition box staring at me. Then I remembered that I entered that Sci-fi Channel / Mass Effect giveaway back in November. I never
thought for a second that I was going to win anything and honestly forgot about the contest a few days later.
What's kind of funny about the whole thing is that I came close to buying Mass Effect several times over the past few weeks. At first I didn't buy it during the
holidays because I wasn't sure if I would get it for Christmas, then something would always keep me from going to the store the few nights since New Years that I was
going to buy it. Really weird. Here's a picture I took with my cell phone of it, I'll try to borrow a camera and get a couple better pics posted over the next few
days.

I got Call of Duty 4 (PC) and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PS3) for Christmas and then bought Crysis last week. Like them all. Still need to finish The Witcher too.
2007.July.26
Well, well, well. My refurbished Xbox360 is going back (the one Microsoft sent me to replace my original 360 that had the 3 red flashing lights...the video problem). It turns out that Microsoft sent me another faulty system; this one has a bad cd drive and can't play their game discs for anything. Sometimes the system can't even read the disc and won't even let me start the game, when I do get a game to start I'm usually getting a disc read error within ten mintues and have to restart the system.
Nice job in replacing my defect with another defect.
Wouldn't you think after having a customer send back one defective system they would spend a little time making sure they don't send that customer another bad console? Great quality control they have there at Microsoft, that or they simply don't realize how bad their hardware is. I've never had a game console die on me. To be honest, everyone of them still work (2600, Jaguar, Nintendo, Nintendo 64, PlayStation, PS2 and PS3). The Xbox 360 might have a few neat games, but not one of them are worth the hassle of this.
2007.June.20
It's been awhile so there should be a lot for me to update the world about today. Let's see what I come up with.
I got a Playstation 3 a couple months ago. Motorstorm and Resistance are pretty neat, but I really wish there were more good games available. That would be my only complaint but, this kind of situation keeps me from spending tons of money on games. The most recent update Sony released, I am now able to stream music, videos and images from my PC, thats really neat. I just got my, err, I mean, a 360 back from repair. Microsoft sent me a ruferbished one.
About four weeks ago my 360 started having problems with the video and then a few days later I was met with an E74 code (which is either an AV cable problem or a hardware failure) when I turned on the console. Well, guess which one it was for me? After doing some troubleshooting (removing the hard drive, replugging in plugs and trying a second AV cable) and trying to explain to the customer service girl that Cincinnati is in Ohio and not Alabama; the hunk of junk went back to Microsoft to get repaired. Lucky for me that Microsoft increased the warranties to one year on these things a few months ago or I would be S.O.L. I personally think the 360's have a 90% failure rate but MS never wants to talk about it, which is understandable, but everyone I know has had to return their 360's. What amazes me is that I don't even play the system that much, I mean in comparison to others I know, I probably only average a couple hours a week on it. The whole repair process wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. After receiving an email telling me that I would be updated at each step of the repair process I was surprised (sarcasm) to not hear anything until the other day when UPS called to tell me that a package was going to be delivered. Oh well, its back and sitting on the shelf underneath my PS3.
On a different subject, I'm trying to think of colors to paint my rooms in my condo. For some reason, thinking of color combinations is far more difficult than I thought it would be. Plus, I'm not sure if I want to redo some of the floors or not. If I do that I could come up with some more color combinations and just think; if I'm complaining now about figuring paint colors, that might make it next to impossible for me.
2007.April.03
I bought Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 a few weeks ago for my 360 and have been having a blast with it. I wasn't planning to buy GRAW2, but I tried the demo and that changed my mind fast. I had the first one on my PC last year and just didn't get into it, but this one has been the exact opposite. Unfortunately I haven't played it since I bought S.T.A.L.K.E.R. last week. I haven't touched any other game since. Even though it has a few flaws and some issues (none have been show stoppers for me), I just can't stop playing it. The developers did a great job of creating an amazing atmosphere.

2007.March.13
Well, well, well; it certainly has been awhile since I posted anything here hasn't it? I've really been wanting to add, write or just post something here since my last update in November but some other issues came up that really threw a wrench into everything over the past few months. So, now that things are starting to get back to normal, let me try to catch up here real quick.
For starters, I built a new computer. I went a different direction this time and used an Intel CPU. The last few I've built have always been AMD but the Core 2 Duo's just sounded too good to pass up. I wound up using the Core 2 Duo E6600 with an Asus P5N-E SLI motherboard, EVGA 7900GS KO video card, CORSAIR 620HX powersupply and 2GB of Corsair memory. I'm pretty sure I will update the video card later this year though, but this EVGA should get me through the summer. I couldn't justify putting down the cash for one of those Nvidia 8800 cards. While I was building a new pc I figured I'd go all out and install Windows Vista.
One last thing; I am still working on the MythTV project. It was just difficult to find time, with everything that was going on the last few months, to work on it, but I've already started to mess with it again now. I just need to get re-acquainted with it.
2006.November.24
I hope Thanksgiving was fun and relaxing this year.
I'm still working on the MythTV Box. I sort of put that on hold because I was becoming frustrated with it, but now I'm back on it and trying some different stuff so keep your fingers crossed.
I'm also working on a slight update to the site's design. It isn't going to be anything major, just something to give this front page a little more excitement. Its still being tested and changed and worked on, but I am hoping to have that up at the end of the year.
I now have Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Lego Star Wars 2 and Gears of War for my Xbox360. All three of them are really great games. Gears of War is better than I was expecting (considering all the hype it was getting, those are usually dissappointments). Splinter Cell: Double Agent was also certainly better than Chaos Theory (at least from what I remember of Chaos Theory).
2006.September.02
I've added a new write-up on the articles page about the 'free' or low-cost alternative software I use in place of the more mainstream (and pricier) ones. You can find the whole thing right here.
I also broke down and bought an Xbox 360. Don't ask, I think I just had an urge to buy something and for some reason I always go for the not-so-cheap choices. Although, I have to admit, I am enjoying it a lot. I only have two games as of today (Project Gothem Racing and Saints Row) and both are fun.
2006.August.18
I just added a new write-up about making a very simple dynamic menu bar using some java script and css.
I'm still working on the MythTV box. It's getting better. I am able to record television but it has a faint white bar that runs across the television. Hopefully I will have this completed soon and then I will get to writing something up explaining the adventure.
2006.August.14
Ah, I finished Prey a few weeks back and have to say I enjoyed my time spent with it. The multiplayer part of it is definitely a lot different than what I'm use to....although to be honest, I'm not the greatest at these FPS games in multiplayer mode anymore; nor do I spend a lot of time with it either, so anything slightly different would've probably threw me. But the whole walking upside down on ceilings and walls is extremely fun and adds something. Now I'm back to Quake 4 and playing multiplayer with the new patch. Seems an awful lot like Quake 3 (which is nice) but I really need to work on my skills.
More recently, I've been trying to get a MythTV box built. I got it built and am currently struggling to get the software working properly. Everyday I seem to learn or figure something new out and seems to get me a step closer to completing the box. I'm planning on doing a write up of my whole experience with this project (list of parts used, software tried, software used, problems, etc). Not sure when that'll be finished as that is very dependent on me finishing the MythTV box first.
2006.April.06
I've been playing a lot of Trackmania Nations the past several months. You really can't beat a free high-quality, multiplayer racing game. Looks nice, runs smooth and the controls are nice and responsive. It's been keeping me busy while I'm waiting for other games to come out.
I'm planning on upgrading my computer soon. I've been thinking about this for
awhile and could never really decide if I wanted to go with a SLI setup or not or if I really wanted to buy a new video card to replace my 6800GT (AGP). It's still able to handle everything pretty well and I'm sure it still has some life in it for awhile. So with that all said and decided I thought I'd take the long upgrade route and I bought an ASRock 939Dual-SATA2 motherboard. It'll let me keep my 6800GT until it reaches it's limit and then I can swap over to a PCI-e video card. This should help me save a little money in the short term and make the upgrade a little easier to take in the wallet. And if later on, after I get the PCI-e video card, I decide to go with SLI I can just upgrade the motherboard. At first I wasn't completely sure about this ASRock board, but after reading some reviews at Newegg and a couple other sites, I think it'll be just fine for me at the moment.
2006.January.04
Happy New Years!
If you look at the linkbar along the top you may notice that I've added a new page for the Sony PSP. I'm not really sure what I'll be actually putting there,
but for now it has some links to some PSP wallpaper sites. And there are a few favorites of mine there too. Woohoo!
2005.December.21
I kind of updated the site. Just added some old archived news back in, only for 2004 right now....I'm not sure if I'll add any of the older years in or not. I probably will, just not immediately.
Well, just a few more days until Christmas. I got all my shopping done and I'm kicked back and enjoying the whole Christmas holiday. Incase I don't update that day, Merry Christmas!
2005.December.03
The site update/rebirthing is, for the most part, finished. There are a few things I still need to finish, add or correct, but it seems to be in a useable state. Almost seemed to easy to re-do the site, maybe I'm finally getting good at this stuff.
2005.November.21
Late last night I was finally able to get the updates to post newest to oldest. That might not seem like much but, this mysql and php is still pretty new to me. Even though I've attempted to play with them before in the past, I never could quite figure it out for some reason. This time, though, I'm understanding it better and I'm starting to remember more of it. Looks like I really did sort of learn something before.
Earlier today I was able to get the dates to post in a format other than xxxx.xx.xx, so that was another nice accomplishment for me.
2005.November.13
I need to really do something with the website here. I've let it sit far too long without updating or adding anything and I'm not happy with myself for that. I'm going to think of something to add, change or completely re-do and then get working on it.
2005.July.09
It's certainly been a long time since my last update. Geesh.
I just ordered a new Dell 2005FPW LCD monitor Friday. I'm looking forward to getting it and seeing how it looks. Should definitely be fun to play games on.
2005.March.18
This past Tuesday morning I had Lasik surgery done. I'm still amazed that it went as quick as it did. I still wake up trying to find my glasses in the morning (out of habit) until I realize I can actually see. I can't even begin to describe how great it is....worth every penny.
2005.January.31
I got Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, but it doesn't seem to be nearly as fun as GTA 3 and GTA: Vice City was. But I've been playing Doom 3, Half-Life 2, Chronicles of Riddick, and World of Warcraft so that might be why San Andreas is getting much attention. I'm not too excited about the next batch of console systems coming out, but that may change as they get closer to coming out.
2004.October.29
Well, here it is two days before Halloween, my second favorite holiday. It's just a fun time seeing all the decorations and costumes. I can't figure out why some people want to always complaing about it though, its just a fun-time holiday where you have an excuse to act a little different.
2004.October.26
Got a little crazy a laid down some serious cash for one of those nVidia 6800GT cards. Cost a lot but holy crap is it amazing. I thought that ATi 9600 Pro was pretty good too.....wow.
2004.September.30
Played Doom 3 and, for the most part, enjoyed it. About on the same level as Far Cry. Although I really liked the lighting in Doom 3 better; seemed to create a better atmosphere. It'd be nice to see some kind of Aliens vs Predator game come out using the Doom 3 engine.
2004.July.18
Now there is finally an actual store date for Doom 3.
I'm currently back to playing Far Cry. I might try to finish Thief 3 but I'm not too sure, it is a chore to play this.
2004.July.07
For some reason I've gone back to playing Diablo 2. Must be the lack of exciting games right now. Hopefully Doom 3 isn't too far off.
2004.June.22
Ta-da! Here's a new site design.
I tried real hard to make sure it worked with all three browsers that are around (Internet Explorer, Firefox and Opera).
Still waiting for Doom 3.
2004.April.16
Hmmmm....it's been awhile between updates.
I've been messing around with MySQL and trying to convert the site over to that. SQL is proving to be easier than I was expecting.
I got both Unreal Tournament 2004 and Far Cry and Splinter Cell 2. Far Cry has been taking time away from the other two more and more each day. Its really an amazing game.
2004.February.19
Played some game demos over the weekend. Far Cry looks kind of promising, Unreal Tournament 2004 is about what I expected it to be. I'm having fun with the Onslaught mode. Painkiller was a bit of a surprise, I didn't expect this one to be good at all and so far it seems like it might be fun.
2004.January.28
OMG! I've actually updated the site!
I recently got into messing around with Blackbox for Windows. It's a replacement shell that replaces Windows. It's a little difficult to get use to but that might be because I'm use to using windows.
2003.December.20
I've been working on adding another visual style to the site, which you can choose by checking out the 'customize' box on the lower left hand side. This first style I did isn't anything major, the next one I do should be a little more major (no idea when that will be).
What games have I played recently?
Halo (PC) - nowhere near as good as these magazines had claimed it to be. I got bored seeing the same textures over and over. The prefab room/hallway got old; it must have been used 1000 times in a row in several separate locations on that stupid library level. What a waste.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (PC) - this turned out to be one of the most exciting and enjoyable rpg's I have ever played. At least since Planescape Torment. Worth the time and money.
Call of Duty (PC) - Amazing! Everything is top notch, exciting and flat out fun. The only complaint was that the game ended. The game keeps throwing a lot of action at you and it has got some really amazing battles.
Happy Holidays!
2003.December.02
OK, I lied. I didn't get the script thing written up like I thought I would be able to over the Thanksgiving Day holiday. I did however, get the drawings page up and going.
I also worked on learning some more php and xml, in between the turkey dinners and football.
2003.November.24
Just a few days before Thanksgiving! Maybe I will see about getting that new java script, the one I've been mentioning for about two months, finally posted during the holiday break.
I had some damage done to my Pontiac Vibe last weekend, but I got that all fixed up Friday. I'll try to post some before and after images of the damage. Not that they will be that exciting to at though.
2003.November.10
I'm doing a little tweaking to the site. Originally, I intended to just work on cleaning the html code, but during that process I got the energy to do a lot more:
1. I've removed a couple of pages I thought wouldn't actually become anything.
2. Both menu bars (the ones on the left and the drop-down one) have been updated and corrected.
3. Some pages have been slightly changed to something I thought was a little more organized and pleasant to look at.
4. The script which was changing the logo of the site randomly has been removed (temporarily I hope), I found that some browsers wouldn't display the logos at all.
5. And for some reason Opera doesn't display the news portion of the home page, so I'm trying to fix that too.
2003.November.07
I've replaced the old link bar on the right, which had links of web sites I usually visit, with two news feeds coming from Blue's News and HardOCP. I tend to visit both of these sites a lot during the day so I thought it would be neat to add here. I am working on another page that will have those old links plus several more. It shouldn't be too long before it shows up here.
I've also got a new script to add to the java script page, I just need to fix up a page for it first.
2003.October.28
Not a whole lot to report on today. I'm going through the pages here and trying to clean up the code in them. Many of the pages had lots of useless code, mostly from things I was trying when I was building the site. I'm also looking into adding a couple of doo-dads to the main page. Nothing for sure yet, I'm going to play around with a slight (very slight) layout change and then decide if these additions will be worth incorporating here.
Call of Duty gets released tomorrow, and with Half-Life 2 and Doom 3 not making it out this holiday, I am looking forward to this one. Hopefully I'll be able to grab a copy by the weekend.
2003.October.20
I finished up that script I mentioned back on October 7th. I'd like to add a few more things, but it works for the most part. I'm going to try and get that added to the site this week or next week.
2003.October.16
The site is now listed as 'version 4.20'. That's because I just made a very small change to the site. If you refresh the pages you might notice the title image change. I just have it swapping between two images right now, but I might have a couple more to add soon. I know it isn't exciting but its just something goofy to play around with.
While I'm on the subject of the version number....
Here's the deal about that. When I was redoing the site I thought the upper right corner was a little empty, at the time I was thinking of how the site has changed over the years and this got me thinking. So, I figured I'd put the site version there. As much as I can remember this is, in fact, the 4th major revision to the site, hence the version 4.xx.
2003.October.07
Just posted a new (but similar) script to the java script page. It's very similar to the random image slide show I did back in August, but this time it displays the images in whatever order you list them in the array. On a related note: I'm in the process of finishing up one script I've been working on for the past several months. I'm real close, and when that one gets done I'll be excited and proud. You will see soon enough.
The company I work for just cut my hours, which sucks. So, as you would probably guess, I'm looking for a new job; no luck yet.
2003.September.29
I'm doing a little house cleaning on the site right now. And while I'm doing that, I'm also tweaking the pages a bit. I don't have any major changes planned, just some cosmetic fixes. There were some things I thought looked a little out of whack. That's all for today.
2003.September.26
Alrighty, its been a long time between updates. There isn't, or hasn't, been a whole lot to talk about.
The softball team finished 13th in a state tournament and we won our league at our softball park this summer (we got nifty t-shirts for that). We'll probably be starting basketball here soon too.
I'm just waiting for Call of Duty to come out right now. I really enjoyed the demo, looks to be a fun game. I'm also seriously thinking of getting one of those Shuttle XPC systems. I'm just not sure if I want to get one with the GeForce 4MX video onboard or save a few bucks and get one without the video card and just use my GeForce 3 Ti200 for a little while and buy something better down the road. Ahh, decisions, decisions.
2003.June.20
Well, here is the new site design. Like I said it isn't completely finished yet, but I'm hoping it will be come August.
2003.June.16
QUICK UPDATE ON THE NEW SITE DESIGN:
1. Everything is ready to go, I am going to try my best to have the new site up by the end of this week; that should be easy enough to actually accomplish.
2. Just a quick word of caution about the site. When it does finally get plastered up here, it will still need some work (such as filling a few pages) but it's good enough to go as it is now.
3. One last thing, don't expect top notch stuff here with the new site, just something different from what has been here in the past.
I'm finished with my dhtml class now, so I'll continue to work on that stuff and hopefully get better at it. Right now I've decided to not go to school this summer. Mostly because I'm having a hard time finding any interesting classes, but I am going to attempt to teach myself php this summer.

We started softball back in April and, so far, I'm not too upset with myself yet. I'm hitting a lot better than I started last year off.
First things first though.
I want to apologize for not updating the site in such a long time. Not that there's a good reason for it, but what has become a common thing for me to do is I'll get bored with my site design and go and change it a bit. The site has virtually remained the same for the past year or so, with little changes here and there, but nothing major. Back in February, as you can read in my last update, I started taking a java script class and now I'm taking a class in dhtml. I've been using some of the java script and dhtml I've learned to try and make something really different this time. And that would be the reason for the absence. I promise it will be really different, it certainly won't be the best on the web, but it will be a big change for my site.

I start my java script class tonight! This outta be some fun.

I just posted some screen shots I took while I was running through the Splinter Cell demo. So go check them out if you want to.
I just read over at Voodoo Extreme that Ubi Soft has just delayed Splinter Cell. Kind of stinks, I was holding on to my Best Buy gift card so I could buy that when it came out this month. I'm going to have to wait a little longer I suppose.

Last night I played some more Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and worked on the Sunshine Autos car list some more. Seems like there are starting to be more cars roaming around town since I've been doing the Sunshine Auto missions.

I think my adventure in getting my Associates Degree in website development may end much earlier than expected. I was just looking at the current schedule of classes offered for the next term and realized than many of the courses I'll be needing are not offered at night.

First off, Happy New Year! I hope the holidays were good to you.
I'll try to get some photos of that new computer I just finished building. Overall I was pretty pleased with the job.
I got a copy of BloodRayne for my PS2 for Christmas and I have to say that the game is quite fun. The graphics aren't the greatest but it's just so much fun
beating up these Nazi's.

Just now finished up that new computer I started building back in early November. There are still a few more things I'd like to do on it, but that can all be done while its up and running
Yikes!! Only 7 days left until Christmas and I haven't even got a single gift for anyone yet! I better get going on this or I'll be running around wildly Christmas Eve morning.

I'm planning on building a new computer here shortly. In fact, I just got my Gigabyte GA-7VAX board in the mail yesterday. I went with the Gigabyte board instead of the ASUS board mostly because of the price and I'm not planning on over clocking this one (which ASUS would probably be the better choice for that). Now I have to just decide on what case I should get.
I got my old Celeron 500 going a little while ago and now have Lycoris Desktop/LX Linux on it. Nice version of Linux, it works a lot like Windows XP.
I've added a whole new page where I can post some neat desktop wallpapers I come across.

Sorry for the lack of updates. School was keeping me pretty busy, but I'm taking this winter off so I'll be updating more often.
Picked up a copy of Spider-Man this past weekend and just ordered a copy of a Beavis and Butthead collection that Time Life Books has been advertising.
2002.October.06
Here are a few screen shots of Unreal Tournament 2003.
Also, I went out Friday and bought No One Lives Forever 2. Both games are very fun and quality first person shooters. UT2k3 is just flat out amazing and fast paced while NOLF2 has a much slower pace, but it is still fun to play.
2002.October.02
I picked up a copy of Unreal Tournament 2003 the other night. Fun game with some really nice graphics. I also got it for $32, you can't beat that. The only gripe I might have is that the entire instruction manual is written in orange on a orange & white background. It isn't that awful but it is a little shocking on the eyes.
2002.September.14
I was checking out File Planet last night, just to see if anything interesting was there to download, and I was completely shocked to see that there was an Unreal Tournament 2003 demo there. So I started the download and went to bed. The very first thing I did this morning was install it.

Well, I finally got around to fixing the first project I put up over on the How-To page, so if you feel like taking a look you are more than welcomed to. I also added a new how-to guide there as well. I Guess thats it for the site news.
Nothing much going on in real life right now....looking forward to hear what Blizzard Entertainment is going to announce at the Tokyo Game Show next week.
2002.September.02
I'm now in the process of fixing the site so it will look correct in more Internet browsers. Up to this point it has only worked with Microsoft Internet Explorer. I never knew about the problem until I started checking the site out on my Linux system. Man, was it ugly in Mozilla. Hopefully, things are looking better on the alternative browsers. The archive page still needs to be repaired, though, so you can avoid that all together for the moment.
2002.July.30
I've been playing around with some java scripts this past week. I still don't know it that well, but I am learning. Anyways, I found a pretty cool script that puts up some pop up text boxes. I thought I'd use that over on the archive page. That is, until I figure out how to throw a flash file into the mix. I've got to read up on that now too.

After many long hours and late nights (enjoyable I might add), I have finally finished my first trip through Neverwinter Nights. I have to say I was pretty impressed with the quality of the game and story.
For you (few) Atari Jaguar fans, you might have heard of the game Battleshpere, one of those 'could have made the system' games that the Jaguar so desperately needed. This game was released in 2000 in very limited quantities (due to production costs and the fact that the Jaguar had died three or four years earlier) and I have never been able to find it. I kind of gave up hope of ever finding it since it seemed like there wasn't any plans to produce anymore, but as it turns out, I was wrong. They did release a newer version of it back in March of this year!
So, I quickly clicked over to the site to order it only to find out that they already sold out of the entire supply. Guess I will have to wait a little longer.
2002.July.17
I finally got around to posting my first how-to article. It may not be the most exciting thing I could have done, but it's a start.
I'm having a lot of fun with Neverwinter Nights and Warcraft 3. I honestly can't say which one I like more, both of them are great (if you like those kind of games that is).
I finally logged back into Dark Age of Camelot last night, only for about 30 minutes, after a 3 or 4 week absence. The game is just starting to become a boring grind to me.
2002.June.07
I got a project to do for my Visual Literacy class, as oppose to an actual final exam. We are suppose to do an instructional presentation. I have a couple ideas, but I'm not too sure which one to do. My first idea is to demonstrate how to set up a simple computer network. The other idea is to demonstrate how to add a window into your computer case.
2002.May.24
This week I've been almost constantly checking out Blue's News and Voodoo Extreme trying to stay up-to-date on all the news coming out of the E3 show.
Doom 3 looks to be impressive; all of the videos are, supposedly, completely made using the actual in-game engine. There are a few other games I am watching too: World of Warcraft, Mortal Kombat: Deadly Allicance, Metroid Prime, Warcraft 3, Neverwinter Nights and Unreal Tournament 2003.
2002.May.01
I finally got around to making the site look pretty. I also added a how-to page and once I get some time and figure out what to write about, I will put some short articles there. Everything else is, more-or-less, the same. Just with a different look now.
2002.April.22
I downloaded the Soldier of Fortune 2 MP Test. It looks like it might be a pretty good game. The night vision and thermal goggles are pretty neat and the guns seem to be realistic.
2002.April.15
Tonight is the night. I start my long adventure as a night student to get an Associates Degree in Web Site Development. Unlike the last time I was in college, I'm actually looking forward to this. Not only do I get to learn something I really enjoy doing, I also get to see if Cincinnati State has changed much since I was last there six years ago.
2002.April.11
My brother pointed me to a really neat article over at TechTV's site. I've seen this guy on television before but was never sure who he was. He has a pretty neat web site, if you have any interest in black holes, worm holes, time travel and other stuff like that, you will want to read some of his articles. Very interesting stuff.
2002.April.05
I actually got my own domain now! I still have some stuff to move over, but for the most part the site has completely moved here. I might take this opportunity to try a few new things out, so updates may be slow or they may be fast depending on how much trouble I have with a few things.
2002.March.27
I finally got around to adding my resume to the site. Since my employer has cut back on my hours I've been casually looking for a new job. Of course that meant updating my resume, and when that was taken care of I thought I would post it here.
2002.March.19
This past weekend I went out and picked up one of those 'Teach Yourself [insert title here] in 24 Hours' books. I just wanted something to help me get started learning xml. I also found a cool web site for web programming, W3Schools.com. If you are interested in learning web programming or have a question of how to do something on your web site, I suggest you look there. They have information for html, dhtml, css, xml, java script and a whole bunch of other web languages.
2002.March.15
The whole reason for the new site design is that I've been learning html, some php and css too. So I'm trying to use some of that to build the site now. xml is also something I would also like to learn. Once I get things on here settled down I'll start working with xml.
